Executive Director, Greater Four Corners Action Coalition
With Marvin Martin’s guidance, the Greater Four Corners Action Coalition of residents and associations has made the neighborhood safer, more accessible, and better housed. He has fostered new leadership among community members and formed strong alliances to fight for equity and quality of life for all residents. During his tenure as executive director, the Coalition established Boston’s Healthy Homes, which works to identify asthma triggers and address lead poisoning and indoor air quality, and helped to secure a state commitment to build at least four new stations along the Fairmont Line commuter rail tracks to serve Four Corners and other stops in Mattapan and Dorchester. In addition, Marvin has focused on bringing in “green developers” and creating “green buildings” in the neighborhood.
