Communities both influence and benefit from transportation and land use solutions.

Exclusionary practices, such as redlining and disinvestment in public transit, have forced people to live far from the important places in their lives, increased dependence on transportation that is expensive and/or unreliable, and worsened greenhouse gas emissions.

To meet this challenge, we focus on shifting transportation systems and community development processes to better serve those most harmed by poor transportation and land use policies.

By doing so, communities will have a say in and enjoy the benefits of more connected and accessible mobility choices.
