Leah joined Barr in 2022 assisting the Invest in Educators and Build Public Will portfolios. In this role she supports grantee partners who build diverse, skilled, and effective pipelines of teachers and leaders and who deliver high-quality instruction and programing to their students, as well as partners who engage families and communities to be informed advocates and build demand for high-quality schools.
Leah has a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Northeastern University and serves on the board of directors for Friends of Kenya Rising, which supports families in Western Kenya as they rise out of poverty.
Leah loves to travel, read, and sample pastries wherever she goes.
